A PHARMACY manager says thousands of pounds worth of NHS money is being wasted by doctors over-prescribing drugs. Geoff Ellman who works at Rowlands Chemist in Birleywood, Digmoor, Skelmersdale, said over £1,000 worth of drugs were returned last month after a diabetic patient died. When drugs are returned they have to be disposed of meaning NHS money is simply being thrown away.
