Is it too late to become a doctor now I'm in my late 40s? I am 47 years old and did a postgraduate nursing course in my mid-20s, following an arts degree, which I had drifted into. I then realised I was more cut out for medicine, although I had only studied sciences up to O-level. I always felt frustrated by the status of nursing, and the fact that the real decisions were made by doctors.
