California clamps down on genetic testing industry - The Guardian 19th June 2008

Companies offering high-priced genetic tests have found themselves under pressure in the US, after officials launched a crackdown on their operations in California. Thirteen companies offering genetic testing have received cease and desist letters from the state's department of public health, in a move that could force them to stop selling their tests to the public.

Genetic testing again... I am pretty hungry for such information, as a Toronto life insurance broker I believe they will be one of the biggest changes in society during next years. This genetic testing industry is just a tiny drop of upcoming events and goverment steps against it can't change much. I just wonder what will be the profit and what loss for mankind...
