Campaigns to bring down the abortion time limit may have encouraged more women to have terminations, according to the head of Britain’s largest abortion provider. Ann Furedi, chief executive of the British Pregnancy Advisory Service, said that lobbying against late abortions may have backfired by increasing women's awareness of the services available.
