All-clear for 'dirty ops' patients - Manchester Evening News 21st June 2008

INITIAL tests on five patients treated with the same `dirty' surgical implement have come back negative. A registrar is thought to have used the same pair of scissors on six patients undergoing eye operations at Manchester Royal Infirmary. The scissors were not cleaned after they were used on the first patient. The registrar has been suspended.
