The focus on 'cousin marriage' within Pakistani culture, rather than the individual risk of carrying the trait of sickle cell disorder, or deafness and having the disease, reflects such an archaic and pathetic view of eugenics that cloaks the ethnocentric moral reprisal of the 'other'.
