West Cumbria could become player on world health stage - Carlisle News & Star 21st May 2008

WEST Cumbria could become UK leaders – maybe even world leaders – if a cutting edge plan for a health park becomes a reality. And work is under way to try and make it happen in a project which could combine the new West Cumberland Hospital with social care, higher education, job creation, new business and leading health care. Also on the same campus could be the possibility of GP practices, dentists and any other health-related organisations.
