BUSINESS tycoon John Whittaker has donated £1m to Manchester's new Children's Hospital Appeal after his grandaughter was delivered stillborn. Mr Whittaker, billionaire chairman of Trafford Centre owners Peel Holdings, said: "It was too late for my daughter's baby to be given a lifeline. "But if other babies and children can have that opportunity, then it's a wonderful cause for Peel to support.
