TWENTY new community beds for The West Cumberland Hospital should be up and running by the end of the year. It follows the recent Closer To Home public consultation about the new hospital and its services. As finally accepted by the various groups involved, including health bosses, hospital consultants, GPs and the Save Our Services Group, a better deal was secured for West Cumbria.
