JUDGES have waded through hundreds of entries to reveal the final shortlist for north Cumbria’s first ever Celebrating Excellence NHS Awards. The event – which could become an annual celebration – aims to recognise the hard work and dedication of health workers who go above and beyond the call of duty in the name of patient care. It is being organised by the North Cumbria Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, which runs the Cumberland Infirmary, West Cumberland Hospital and Penrith Birthing Centre.
