A PATIENT at the Countess was told to sell valuable hospital equipment on eBay. When 67-year-old Joan Doxsey was discharged on May 7 with her leg in plaster, she asked her physio when she should return the two zimmer frames, commode and toilet-seat frame. Her son Chris Hickman, who lives with his mother off Brook Lane, explained: “The physio said that the best bet was to sell the equipment on eBay or throw it away as a new hospital policy states the equipment does not need to be returned.
