No improvement in chances of life before 24 weeks, despite medical advances Survival rates for babies born before 24 weeks are extremely low and getting no better in spite of medical advances, according to an authoritative study which will be published today. The report is likely to provide fresh argument in the bitter debate over whether the present abortion time limit should be lowered.
