Myeloma sufferers wait on decision to license Revlimid - The Times 9th May 2008

Sufferers of a rare blood cancer are waiting to find out if the drug that will prolong thier lives is to be licenced in Scotland Up to 1,200 sufferers of myeloma, a rare blood cancer, will find out next week whether a drug that can prolong life by three years will be licensed in Scotland. The Scottish Medicines Consortium will on Monday decide whether or not to approve the use of the thalidomide-based drug Revlimid. The drug is already licensed in England.
