Letters: Public sector volunteers - The Guardian 28th May 2008

Lord Crisp has done it again. He's produced another accurate, insightful and, most importantly, practical report on improving healthcare systems in the developing world (Grand-scale model, May 21). Now what we need is action. The UK has the opportunity to lead the world in finding the "drastic measures" to address the global health staff crisis. Not just by providing funding but also personnel in the form of skilled volunteers.
