Dwain Chambers was fuelled by drugs cocktail - The Times 16th May 2008

Friday, May 16, 2008

Dwain Chambers will provide one of the most compelling confessions in the history of sport today when he makes good on his vow to help to clean up the sport he tarnished. The British sprinter, who completed a two-year drugs ban in 2005, will provide UK Sport with a comprehensive cheats’ guide and admit to taking a cocktail of seven different drugs. The information has been supplied by Victor Conte, the controversial brains behind the notorious Bay Area Laboratory Cooperative (Balco), which provided drugs for a string of high-profile athletes including Chambers. The scars from the Balco bust are still festering with the trial of Trevor Graham, the American sprint coach, due to start on Monday.
