The discovery of how strains of the flu virus emerge in Asia, circulate around the continent then migrate to start seasonal epidemics elsewhere may help scientists to improve immunisation programmes. Research by an international team led by scientists from the University of Cambridge could help experts to select which strains to include in seasonal vaccines each year.
