When East Asia sneezes, the rest of the world is infected with a nasty dose of flu - The Times 17th April 2008

The discovery of how strains of the flu virus emerge in Asia, circulate around the continent then migrate to start seasonal epidemics elsewhere may help scientists to improve immunisation programmes. Research by an international team led by scientists from the University of Cambridge could help experts to select which strains to include in seasonal vaccines each year.
