A victim of the “elephant man” drug trial is set to receive more than £2 million for his horrific injuries, it emerged yesterday. Lawyers acting for Ryan Wilson are close to reaching a settlement with a drug-testing company two years after he almost died. Mr Wilson, 22, from Highbury, North London, has had to have all his toes amputated as well as the tips of several fingers after the disastrous drug trial. His injuries have wrecked his career as a plumber and left him unable to work.
