HOSPITAL staff are coming under attack from a daily torrent of violence and threats in `war zone' conditions, health leaders have claimed. Figures obtained by the M.E.N reveal police are being called out to Greater Manchester hospitals more than 30 times a day. GMP received a staggering 11,014 callouts last year - a 10 per cent rise on 2006.
