Paediatricians are being put off appearing as expert witness in court cases because of the heavy-handed approach by regulators, doctors say. The GMC's "disproportionate" ban on two paediatricians for their conduct in child cases has led to a climate of fear among doctors, it is claimed. A no confidence motion is to be tabled at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health's annual meeting.
