Central Lancashire PCT pharmacists to tackle obesity - Chorley Citizen 20th April 2008

Central Lancashire Primary Care Trust, which provides health services for people in Preston, Chorley and South Ribble, is directing an innovative initiative to enable pharmacists to play a leading role in primary care, beginning with the battle with obesity. The initiative from the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain, in collaboration with the North West Strategic Health Authority, will see the PCT develop a network of healthcare professionals to enable pharmacists to take a more active role in the provision of primary care.
