Blood clot drug could save thousands of lives - The Telegraph 21st April 2008

Thousands of lives could be saved each year by a new blood-thinning drug for patients at risk of suffering fatal clots. Each year 25,000 patients die in British hospitals from blood clots that form after surgery. Fewer than half of people at risk of the condition receive preventative treatment.
