Letters to the Telegraph - The Telegraph 21st March 2008

It seems that a scientific study has found evidence that owning a cat reduces the risk of a stroke by a third (report, March 19). Can we, as is par for the course, expect another study next week, by a rival team of scientists, to prove that cats increase the risk? Or will Nice allow doctors to prescribe an NHS tabby as an alternative to NHS tablets?
