THE number of people being treated for dog attacks in Cumbria continues to soar. In just 12 months 116 people in Cumbria and Lancashire were seen at accident and emergency departments – the equivalent of two attacks a week. A New Year’s Eve party in Carlisle last year turned sour when four men were savaged by a dog.
