A Conservative peer who caused outrage by describing the nurses who cared for him as 'grubby, drunken and promiscuous' has been told by party leader David Cameron to think before opening his mouth. Lord Mancroft, a hereditary peer and deputy chairman of the Countryside Alliance, said last week during a debate in the House of Lords that it was 'a miracle' he was still alive after he was admitted to an NHS hospital in Bath. The peer went on to describe how the nurses had talked across him 'as if he was not there' about what they had done the previous night.
