Police launch half-term crackdown on teenage drinkers - The Observer 17th February 2008

Police are being given alcohol-testing strips to catch teenagers trying to hide beer, cider or spirits in soft drink bottles as part of a major crackdown on underage drinking. The strips, which change colour if alcohol is present, are being used by forces in Greater Manchester, Nottinghamshire, Merseyside, Yorkshire, Staffordshire and central Scotland, among others.
