A nurse who spent two years working in the troubled region of Darfur in Sudan has written a book describing her disillusionment with the situation in the country. New Zealander Lisa French Blaker travelled to Darfur as a nurse with international medical charity Medecins Sans Frontieres in 2005, hoping to ease some of the suffering in the region where, in the past five years, at least 200,000 have been killed and millions forced from their homes.
