HOSPITAL bosses hope to reopen three wards this weekend following an outbreak of diarrhoea and vomiting. The winter sickness bug – known as the Norovirus – took hold at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle last week. Larch A and B and Maple A were closed to new admissions in a bid to control its spread.
