A DISABLED children’s respite and day care centre in Carlisle has closed – despite a campaign by parents who wanted to keep it open. Around 1,600 people signed a petition to support a parents’ campaign to save Orton Lea on Orton Road, which provided day care and short breaks for children with disabilities.
