Dawn Boswell knew the moment the accident happened that something had gone seriously wrong. "A group of us had gone for a long walk and were just playing about on the beach, when a friend shoulder-charged me in a fit of horse-play," she recalls. "Our heads collided; suddenly I couldn't see and felt so faint I collapsed and was sick. It was as if fireworks were going off in my head. I felt the most bizarre buzzing, electrical sensation on one side of my head."
