The wife of a father of two left paralysed by a brain aneurysm today launched a campaign to help her husband talk to his children for the first time in five years. Thanks to technology once used only by fighter pilots, Steve Charles, 44, from Saltford, near Bath, can communicate through a computer by tiny movements in his left eye. His wife Sarah, who has helped him learn to use the pioneering technology at Frenchay Hospital, in Bristol, has set up a trust fund to raise £14,500 to have it installed at home.
