GPs face penalty if patients need out-of-hours care at hospital - The Times 15th November 2007

GPs who fail to provide out-of-hours services could be penalised if their patients seek treatment elsewhere, a leaked NHS document suggests. Increasing numbers of patients are having to attend hospital or walk-in centres because they cannot get an appointment with their family doctor.
