BOSSES at the Royal Bolton Hospital could be forced to make £5.5 million cuts next year. Government chiefs have unveiled proposals that will see the budgets of district general hospitals slashed. The cash will be handed to specialist centres that carry out more complex procedures, such as Christie's in Manchester and Hope Hospital in Salford.
