CANCER patients in Mid Cheshire will be among the first in the country to benefit from pioneering medical equipment designed to improve surgeons’ skills and reduce operating times. Gary Steele, chairman of the Leighton Hospital prostate cancer support group, is in talks with Chorley-based iSurgicals to buy the state-of-the-art technology, which will be donated to the centre of excellence in Manchester where Mid Cheshire patients are treated.
