Bed-blocking 'on the rise again' - BBC Health News 3rd November 2007

Delayed discharges from hospitals - so-called "bed-blocking" - rose sharply last year, according to figures released in Parliament. In total, more than a million "bed days" were lost, with an increase of almost 30% in acute hospitals.
