A FORMER ambulance woman has admitted crews don't always have enough time to properly clean their vehicles. The claim follows a survey by Unison which said dirty ambulances could be contributing to the spread of superbugs like MRSA. The union said emergency vehicles in the north west were sometimes given only a quick 'mop out' even if a patient was known to be infected with a bug like C-difficile. But Greater Manchester ambulance chiefs rejected the claims saying they took cleanliness 'extremely seriously'.
