ALMOST 1,000 people from Greater Manchester tested positive for the deadly superbug clostridium difficile over three months. Latest figures show there was an increase in cases of the sickness and diarrhoea bug at the University Hospitals of South Manchester and Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Hospitals.
