Taxpayers face a bill of more than £200,000 after town hall bosses clashed with their mayor over breastfeeding. Pauleen Lane says a senior official complained about her when she fed her baby son outside the council chamber and then, after she was elected mayor, she was warned she could not take him in the civic car.
