Letter: Saving lives and saving money - The Sunday Telegraph 26th August 2007

We call on the Government to implement common sense measures in NHS surgical care, which are proven to save lives, improve hospital efficiency and save significant amounts of NHS funds. We question why NHS patients are dying unnecessarily and NHS deficits remain when proven high-quality and cost-saving measures are available but used in only a fraction of operations.
