SUPERMAN Jim Martin has returned to the skies as chief pilot of the Pride of Cumbria air ambulance – 18 months after an accident which left him with near-fatal injuries. Jim, 49, was back at work at the Great North Air Ambulance base at Carlisle Airport yesterday ready for action. Jim, who is originally from Carlisle, had been grounded since a horrific climbing accident descending Ben Nevis in January 2006.
